G-Star Raw sale, checked

How G-Star Raw sales really work

G-Star Raw is a premium denim and apparel brand, so prices start higher and a genuine sale carries a bigger rand saving than the value chains. The flip side is that an inflated was-price looks more impressive on a pricier item, so it pays to check the history.

The honest deals tend to be on previous-season denim and jackets being cleared, where the recorded low sits well below the usual price. We keep both figures next to each deal so a big percentage can be judged on what the item really cost.

• Judge G-Star deals on the rand saving versus the usual price, since base prices are high.
• Outerwear and signature denim give the deepest genuine clearances.
• A was-price above anything we have recorded is a reason to judge the saving against the recorded low and usual price, since we cannot confirm a price we have not seen.
